A California Winter

As I returned back home for winter break I braced myself for the colder weeks I had originally anticipated to encounter upon my arrival. I packed numerous pairs of tights and denim jeans, but I have yet touched any of them since my time here.

It has been unusually warm even for Southern California. The past week I have experienced high 70s and low 80s -- not that I am complaining. So since the warmth is here to stay for a little while longer, I thought I would snap an outfit of the day before I headed out the door.

P.S. Yes, I realized I haven't really updated this blog in about a year, but I hope for that to change... hopefully.

For more details about my outfit, including what shoes I wore, check out the video on my Youtube channel! (Or on here I guess)

Shooting an Elephant

Hello m'lovely readers! Sorry, I haven't updated/posted in awhile. I guess you can say I have neglected this blog for far too long. First semester of senior year was so stressful and I barely found time to take a breather. I'll try my best to stay on top of updating this blog as much as possible and posting more videos on my Youtube channel. I thought I would do a picture diary of my nothing-too-eventful today. I was merely home, working on assignments, and doing laundry.

I got up later than usually because I completely disregarded my alarm. So I made a mango-peach-cranberry smoothie and munched on all the raisins in the trail mix bag.

One of my sister's gifts to me was the collected works of E. Allan Poe. I love the vintage binding and the dark tone of the cover. I can't wait to go through the entire book!

Next stop was laundry. Another addition of my sister's gifts was this Downy Un-Stoppable scent booster. I was raving to my sister how good this smelled so she decided to buy me one. I just took the load out of the dryer and it smells heavenly.

For lunch my sister was munching on her version of a grilled cheese sandwich; she added pepperoni to it and it was actually quite delicious.

Here I am again with my set up of the day. Just typing away on my laptop with my phone and iPod Touch at the ready. I am also reading George Orwell's Shooting an Elephant for my AP English class. It's pretty good so far.

Sorry about this generic, boring update. Nothing to do with clothing or fashion or anything in between those lines. But regardless, I am still alive! I promise I'll be posting a lot more soon.

Grabbed dinner with my family and I had pizza! It was so amazing, and I'm just drooling thinking about it.

Unattainable

Green Anorak (CHAPS), Textured Blouse (Mom's Closet), High-waisted Shorts (Thrifted), Beret (F21),  Shoes (Cotton On), Messenger Bag (U.O)
Just a couple long over due snaps from a weekend outing. Pretty chilly that day with a strong breeze. Found this random alley way on the second story of this shopping plaza.

Spring break passed by too quickly for my taste. It was nice and warm and now it's currently all gloomy and wet. -Le sigh-

Amongst The Flowers

Inspiration post! Although it was posted in September it reminds me of a dreamy, melancholy sort of spring. Me gusta! Oh, what I learn in Espanol clase! (Oooh la la) I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend - I know I don't want mine to end.... Monday is going to be so hectic. So many exams and quizzes.... Fun, fun, fun! Hopefully everyone will have a better than Monday than I. Happy Sunday!
P.S. You can find the rest of the pictures here.

Alleyways & Payphone Calls

I'm really digginn' this spring 2012 lookbook by Scout & Catalogue. It reminds me of how much I really love spring. Minus the part where pollen rapes my nostrils and I beginning sneezing like there's no tomorrow.... But speaking of which, I need to launch my own spring lookbook for my online shop Whimsical Youth! If you didn't already know I am starting up my own independent, online shop. I am hoping it'll launch around mid-spring. -fingers crossed- In the mean while go like us on facebook!

Style Muse: Liv Tyler

I'm currently obsessing over Liv Tyler. I mean she's drop dead gorgeous and her style (especially in the '90s) is pretty flippin' rad. I still remember her from Lord of the Rings. Haha. I can't believe Steve Tyler is her dad! It took me a while to become aware of that... Thanks American Idol....

Sorry for the Liv Tyler spam. I think I might do more of these "Style Muse" posts. Be on the look out for 'em.
